PRAISE FOR THE RHEAVOLUTION
The Rheavolution by Ololade Ajayi is poetry of interiority and resolve. In this collection, the poet grants a handle to the door of an empowered future unto her audience. No longer would citizen energies, feminine resourcefulness and prime imaginative prowess go to waste. Her lines set ploughs to fallow fields and she turns the soil of possibilities with singularity of purpose. The poems are eye opening, eye popping, and lush. I recommend these highly.

This revolution or rare volution or indeed, rheavolution by way of poetry will be televised, digitized, analysed and imbibed. The poems in this volume tell a story and stir our blood not just to read and learn, but to descend to the arena and get our hands dirty and shout out loud, giving voice to the voiceless and holding the ‘wounding’ accountable for the wounds inflicted on the vulnerable. These poems are not like Auden’s poem that make nothing happen. They burn and stir and twist and turn and render you uncomfortable until you are galvanized to action. Action, activity, activism as practiced by the poet. Read it if you dare!
