Indigenous and unique start-up, Afro-Stentors publishing outfit is set to sail African literary waters with the unveiling of her first book, A Hundred Tales by Kanma O. Samuel.
Nsukka, December 13, 2020— Afro-Stentors, a start-up publishing house from the heart of Nsukka by students of the University of Nigeria, dealing in African Speculative Fiction, announces thefuturepublication of their first book, A Hundred Tales, set for 13thJanuary, 2021.
The Book Description
When writers create, they leave their minds on papers. What would happen when the world they create leave the papers to become their reality? Igwe, an ordinary character, finds his real world falling apart when riots break out across the country, and discovers that when his mind works with a particular pen, it produces some extraordinary effects. Writers create worlds, and Igwe has a chance to remake his own. If he doesn’t take this chance, he’ll die. If he does, his world will never remain the same again.
According to the founder of this unique start-up, Uzoamaka Chukwu-Abel, a three hundred level student of English and Literary Studies in the University of Nigeria, “Afro-Stentors is poised to offer readers fresh and talented voices with new and interesting offerings in the literary world.
Afro-Stentors, founded this year, 2020, is bent on succeeding through the niche she wants to carve for herself, African Speculative Fiction, by lending a platform to talented fresh voices that would have otherwise been drowned out in the African literary market.
The company, one fashioned after other traditionalpublishing companies, will explore different online channels such as Okadabooks, Amazon, and many others for the meantime.
