A million miles closer

I will travel to infinite distances
to gaze into that secret space
of lace, roses and sweet perfumes.

Trembling below the worn-out flesh
to better become a friend
when time is scarce, the fancy great.

Standing humble in the deep darkness
seeking the aura of this other life
I will listen for a breath, eternities away.

Watching her as she dances to another dawn
embraced by the arms of a kind destiny
she will glide into my night entangled.

Little Giant

It is just another Sunday
it appears the seat has not yet cooled
from the previous week in the great room.

The old coat walks timidly to the corner
dark, in the shades of anonymity still
finding a short respite to the inevitable instant.

There will be no dialogue but for another stranger
a few words thrown at random in a fake sentence
hoping that it will be the end of all the questions.

It is another morning
the snows have melted away into memories
what shall these hours bring of the unknown yet?

Remembering the moments before he knew this world
he remains in the comfort of a life in the making
alone, ignored, invisible so small.

Furtively he glances about the thief he might become
far away another like him dares not raise an eye
a clone of the greatest fears.

A dwarf soul attempts a gaze to the sky above
he knows after all he too might be a giant.

Words in silence

She waved her grace at the passer-by
moving a fragment of her strange universe around
ripples to echo through space and time.

Her words vanished into unheard waves
as lines in her surroundings traced a story
on the page of a body in full motion.

I wondered why anyone would speak so loudly
when she played a symphony in utter silence
and smiling lips of crimson tenderness.

She danced on a tile floor made of clouds,
sending her message to change all lives,
in a language common through ages and worlds.
