My lover says
I have lost memory of something spiritual
because i grew too far from God.
she says
my head grows orchard of ashes &
Whenever i come close,
my skin scents unrighteously-
She says
I have lost sight of the supreme being &
My eyes walked into darkness unfriending light.
She says
My mouth tastes unholy
&
needs to be gargled with the scripture.
She says
In lieu of being narrow,
my legs are becoming wide;
a path to destruction.
So
She places God on our dinning and we munch him daily;
Morning,
Afternoon &
Night.
