Africa, a Country or Continent

Africa as ancient as Athens
Bossed by British behind birth
Britain backed blacks behind their backs
For forth nights fighting their fathers.
Leftover lives living like locust
Nigger-area named Nigeria.
Gold-coast given Ghana.
Yet yielding young yields.
We were wrecked with wars.
Within walls, we wailed.
Wronged with wretched
Weight-of wallowing whales.
Corruption carried-our carriage.
Bigotry became barricade.
Warlords whooping wealth.
Priceless pride perished.
Africa, arise again.
